You are designed to be anxious as it’s an emotional response that keeps you alive. However, the brain learns fast and can make associations with situations, behaviours and cognition’s which become very unhelpful and distressing.
There are a range of anxiety disorders which can impact on someone’s ability to function the way they would like to and sometimes this can impact on mood, work and relationships.
The key to dismantling anxiety disorders is to have a good understanding of the function of anxiety and then to gain an understanding of how your particular problem perpetuates. This is classic CBT and is usually quite simple.
There are then a variety of interventions that can be used to rewire the brain so that anxiety can continue to keep you alive but not stop you living. Feel relaxed and be free.
